Wild Is The Wind (1959)

In 1777 an egg was laid on the buck full moon

during a summer storm

that clattered across the flat fens and prairies.

In 1877, a heartbeat was heard,

when the wind died down.

One hundred years past

and a knotted body stretched

its sleeping length,

scratched

and turned over.

A sigh was heaved for the journey to come.

The shell bound babe did eventually emerge in July 1977; two hundred years young.

.

Rambling alone

along a straight flat road,

a girl

crossed paths with the celestial hen.

*A

long

look

passed between them*

Sensing the need,

the girl offered the chicken a stick

the chicken became all the wiser

offering the girl new perspectives

on how it is to live

with a body."
